UNISON campaigns to raise awareness of and to progress equality in our branches, workplaces and society.
The regional Equality Conference will give your branch the tools and resources to raise awareness of equality issues in the workplace and assist branches with meeting UNISON equality principles and objectives as set out in the union Rule Book.
There will be a range of guest speakers on the day who will provide insight and uidance on anti discrimination legislation and case law, as well as providing the opportunity to discuss recent developments across the equality strands.
In response to the #MeToo campaign there will also be a workshop on sexual harassment in the workplace, incorporating the new guidance from TUC and ACAS.
In addition, Region will be launching our new Equality Toolkit for branches and all delegates will get the opportunity to participate in a toolkit activity during the day.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and please let us know on the application form if you have any dietary or access requirements.
The cost to branches per delegate to the event is £25, and branches will need to cover any expenses from attending. As a result, authorisation is required from your branch, before returning the application form.
