Attending the Young Members’ AGM
Branches are invited to register up to five AGM delegates who will be able to participate in the election for contested positions and vote on key items of business.
If your branch has an established Young Members Self organised group they should be asked to participate in this. All young members in your branch should be given equal opportunity to put themselves forward. The deadline for registering your delegates is Thursday 7 November 2024. Additionally, any young who are not delegates are invited to attend the AGM as visitors. The deadline for visitors registering to attend is also Thursday 7 November 2024. All registered delegates and visitors will receive meeting paperwork for the AGM by email on Thursday 21 November 2024. |
Nominations and elections
Branches and individual young members are invited to submit nominations to the Young Members Forum as well as various internal and external bodies, which will be elected at the AGM.
If you would like to nominate to any of these roles, candidates must be nominated by their branch or by at least one young member. All nominees must themselves be young members plus UNISON members from the South East region. You can find more information about the various elected posts and committees on our regional website or email me with any questions you have. Candidates will be asked to submit an election address of up to 200 words. The deadline for nominations and for election addresses to be received is Thursday 7 November 2024. For any contested posts, all registered delegates will receive voting papers in advance of the AGM. The ballot will close before the meeting. The results of any elections will be confirmed at the AGM. |

Access Requirements
UNISON recognises that in order for our members to fully participate, it may be necessary to make some adjustments so that we can ensure, so far as is reasonably practical, that everyone has the same opportunity to take part across our structures.
If you require any adjustments to be made to facilitate your participation in this meeting, please complete the Access Passport below.
