This post requires industrial relations experience, organising and IT skills, and an ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies for members working within UNISON’s Central and East Berks Branch.
Essential to this role is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team. A full driving license and the ability to travel extensively across Reading, Wokingham, Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead is required. A car is not provided. The successful applicant will need to provide their own vehicle. Travel expenses for legitimate work purposes will be paid, but not travel costs to and from work. A DBS check may be required.
You must be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise work. You should be familiar with the local government, schools, further education, private, community and voluntary sectors, where the work will be undertaken.
