About this job
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to assist with our recruitment and organisation of students studying for a nursing degree. They will organise and attend freshers fairs and develop communications and activities to engage with student members throughout their training. This includes identifying, recruiting and developing new activists, organising and delivering UNISON campaigns.
To undertake this role you must have good interpersonal and IT skills, excellent administrative and organisational skills and a good understanding and knowledge of the trade union movement.
While the post is based in the Strood Regional office, you will need to be able to travel within the Kent, Sussex and Surrey areas and on occasion to UNISON offices in Guildford and London for meetings/training as required.
Secondment opportunities will also be considered but anyone applying for this post as a secondment opportunity must ensure they have confirmed arrangements and agreement from their employer before attending an interview.
