The safety of our members and staff during this Covid-19 outbreak is a priority to us. We want to reassure you that we are listening to the concerns of our members and taking appropriate action based on the best advice from government and our national office.
In light of this, it has been agreed that ALL regional classroom training courses will be cancelled up until September 2021.
In these uncertain times, it is not clear when it will be safe to return to the classrooms. Our priority is to ensure that members and staff do not risk their health to attend training. We will be focussing our time, planning and resources on developing online training for all members and activists.
If you are booked onto a classroom course prior to July 2021, you should assume that this has been cancelled. Please continue to check the Education website for updates and additional training.
We now have a Regional Online Course programme for both Activist and Member education. Click here to view or use the link below.
For more useful learning resources, please visit the TUC and UNISON learning sites – they have valuable e-notes that all reps can access at any time.
Thank you for all you’re doing in this time of national emergency. It is urgent that we continue to be vigilant with supporting members during the coming months. UNISON’s advice for negotiating with employers is being updated constantly. If you have concerns about the measures your employer is taking to keep staff safe, please raise these with your branch and your branch’s regional organiser.
If there’s anything that you need additional help or assistance with please let us know.
Our best wishes to you all.

UNISON South East Regional Online Training Programme
The regional education programme gives you all the information you need about upcoming online courses and webinars within the region. Here you can find courses for both activists and members – so you can get the training you need despite the pandemic. This virtual training programme is a live programme that will be continuously updated as and when we add new courses, so please keep checking back to see what’s new.
TUC Learning Site
TUC Education’s eLearning modules are great resources to help reps keep up to date on key workplace issues. Here you will find short bite-sized modules (eNotes) and longer eLearning courses. Each eNote is a self-contained module that contains a mixture of text, video and quizzes. They last between 20 and 45 minutes and can be returned to as many times as you like.
UNISON Learning Site
This site hosts a number of online learning resources for UNISON members. You will find a variety of short activities which you can complete on this site, as well as directions where to find other useful union learning resources.
