Young Members

UNISON has almost 10,000 young members in the South East. If you are a UNISON member and aged 30 or under you are automatically entitled to participate as a young member. Why not get involved and help us campaign for the issues affecting young workers.

Young members’ groups work to:

  • encourage recruitment, organisation and participation of young workers

  • provide a powerful voice for young members

  • give young members the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in the union.

As a young member in the South East you are supported by a union of over 100,000 members who can assist you with support, training, advice and guidance.

The South East Young Members’ Forum brings together young members from across a wide variety of employers in South East and takes a lead in organising, running and supporting young member campaigns across the region.
