Hope Not Hate – Having Difficult Conversations

This two-hour workshop is aimed at all activists who currently represent members. This session offers effective methods for allowing people to reflect on the problems of their comments without relying on passive-aggressive or “myth-busting” techniques.

This workshop will help participants to:

• Explore practises that seek to understand people’s perspectives, rather than focus on their objectionable conclusions.
• Feel confident in having more in-depth conversations with people who have very embedded views
• Understand the principles of empathetic listening and questioning.
