At the start of the pandemic, UNISON’S There for You charity set up our Covid-19 response fund to support members during this unique and challenging time. One year on, the fund is still helping members who have faced uncertainty and hardship.
During these difficult and uncertain times, you may find yourself in need of a little helping hand – we are here to help.
As well as more general support for members facing financial or emotional difficulties, UNISON’s welfare charity There For You is currently accepting applications for their Covid-19 response fund, funded by There For You donations as well as generous grants from UNISON and the CHSA (COVID-19 Healthcare Support Appeal). The COVID-19 response fund offers grants of up to £500 to help members whose household incomes have been affected by the pandemic.
Many of our region’s members have benefitted from the support There For You and the Covid grants can offer. Dartford & Sevenoaks branch member Julie Willson (pictured above) recently applied and was very grateful for the help she received.
Julie told us, “During very stressful times I was glad to have received assistance from UNISON’s There For You which has helped to alleviate the financial pressures that I was facing. I received a grant from the There For You Covid-19 response fund which has allowed me to get back on track. Thank you to UNISON and thank you, There For You.”
