Stephen Lawrence Day was first celebrated in 2019 and takes place annually on 22 April, the date of Stephen’s death. The Day is marked officially in the British calendar as a celebration of Stephen’s life and legacy.

South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) takes place from 18 July to 17 August and in 2023 the theme is ‘Stories to Tell’.

On 22 June, members of our Southampton District branch held an event to commemorate the incredible contribution of members of the Windrush generation to our communities.

The latest edition of the UNISON South East Black members newsletter has been published now.
