The Regional Council is the governing body of the region and all branches are invited to participate. We run on an annual cycle, meeting three times a year to develop regional policies and determine the region’s objectives and priorities.
International Relations oversees our links with trade unions in other countries and also coordinates with international campaigns.

The Welfare Committee is uniquely able to intervene with individual members in cases of great need.
Our retired members’ group works closely with other member groups on almost every issue that affects workers in the UK, as well as fighting for quality public services, on which many older people rely.
The Regional Police & Justice Committee represents members across the regional service group and helps to develop campaigns and inform UNISON policy on behalf of Police & Justice workers

Our South East LGBT+ SOG campaigns for equality in the workplace and for improvements to legislation for workplaces and the wider community. The meeting is open to all South East UNISON members who identify as LGBT+ and are interested in contributing to the region’s work on LGBT+ equality.
