UNISON Oxfordshire Health Services branch host a special Black History Month event with talks from distinguished guest speakers, including Labour councillor Jabu Nala-Hartley speaking about her mother’s role as a prominent trade union leader combating South African Apartheid, and Darius Smith sharing insights in his presentation My Journey.
This year is UNISON’s Year of Black Workers UNISON has 185,000 Black members, most of whom work in health and local government services, with significant numbers working in social care and schools.
