UNISON’s 2015 National Black Members’ Conference resolved to establish a Nelson Mandela award that embodies the attributes of South Africa’s first Black president and it has since become an annual feature of the conference.
Branches and regions have until 1 September to nominate Black members who champion fairness and equality in the workplace and has gone ‘above and beyond’ for Black members for the award.
If you know someone passionate about race equality, why not nominate them today.
The award will be presented at the National Black Members’ Conference which takes place in Brighton January 2024.
